WINTER CALL-IN LIST
The District of Kitimat is preparing a call-in list for winter snow clearing work. Applicants must have WHMIS and a valid BC driver's license. Preference will be given to individuals with class 1 or 3 driver's license with airbrakes endorsement and heavy equipment experience. BUILDING INSPECTOR (Regular full-time)
Under the supervision of the Technical Services Manager, processes building permit applications, performs inspections, reviews drawings and construction for conformance with legislation, regulations and standards. Explains and enforces municipal bylaws.
The successful applicant will have BOABC or Canadian Registered Building Certification (preference will be given to Level 2 certification or higher) and a minimum Class 5 driver's license. This bargaining unit position has a wage scale ranging from $37.94 - $45.90/hour (over 2 years) with a 35 hour work week.

KITIMAT FIRE & RESCUE SERVICES - VOLUNTEER LIVE-IN
Kitimat Fire and Rescue services is looking for student applicants for volunteer live-in duties. The position will require the volunteer to assist regular members in performing watch room duties during emergency calls occurring on the night shift, between 6:30 pm - 8:00 am. A stipend will be provided for the position. The intent of the volunteer live-in program is to give students insight into fire department operations, and provide mentoring for possible future employment in the fire/rescue field.

The Kitimat RCMP has vacancies for independent individuals able to manage flexible work hours to fill the position of RCMP Guard at the detachment. This position is casual, on-call, as needed, anytime during the day or night including weekends for 8 hour shifts. The rate of pay is $19.23 per hour.
The Guard position primarily involves maintaining the safety, security and dignity of the prisoners in the care of the RCMP.
We are looking for individuals who have or are willing to obtain:
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Required vaccinations
- RCMP Enhanced Reliability Clearance
