Snow Clearing

Kitimat's annual snowfall may seem exceptional, but the Public Works department keeps main roads clear of snow, and clears residential streets on a daily basis. Pedestrian walkways and sidewalks are also cleared regularly.

Please keep well back from snow removal equipment.  No matter how safe we try to make snow removal operations the only way to stay safe is to stay well away.  A close encounter with a blower, grader or plow truck is likely to be terrifying and may have deadly consequences.
