Service Centre Recognition Program

Service Centre Recognition Program judging is complete and the Kitimat Advisory Planning Commission extends congratulations to all 2009 award recipients. Businesses were recognized for landscaping and maintaining their surrounding property, installing planters, painting exterior walls and doorways, and posting signage for civic address, company name and function.

It was determined that thirteen businesses deserved recognition for their efforts. Aarin Trucking was awarded First Place in the “Overall” Category. Ten other businesses were awarded “Overall” Honourable Mention. Bravo's Welding received “Most Improved” business, and three other businesses were awarded “Most Improved” Honourable Mention.

The Advisory Planning Commission offers a “job well done” to all thirteen winning businesses. Through the efforts of each merchant, Service Centre is becoming a more attractive place to work and conduct business. A list of the winning businesses appears below.

The Advisory Planning Commission launched the Recognition Program in 1999 to acknowledge businesses that are a positive example for light industrial development in Service Centre. It is hoped that the high standards of this year's recognized businesses will encourage other merchants and land owners in the area to do the same.
