Seeking Comment - PTI Development Permit Application

Kitimat Council invites public comment before making decisions on a proposed Development Permit application.

PTI Group Inc. has submitted an application for Council to consider a Development Permit for 100 Loganberry Avenue (PTI Kitimat Lodge).  This application is to enable construction of a three-storey, 2154-room temporary worker accommodation complex with on-site dining and recreation facilities. Proposed exterior materials and colours reflect Design Guidelines for commercial buildings in City Centre: including, cement and steel siding in bamboo ivory, vanilla white, marigold and dark blue.  Roofs will be cocoa brown.  Workers building the lodge will occupy a single-storey temporary camp on the same site.  Proposed schedule is to begin work in mid-March 2014, and complete by March 2016.
