JUNE 9, 2020 – The Haisla Bridge annual welding repairs and maintenance work will be complete by Friday, June 12, 2020. Single lane traffic will be in effect from 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. until the work is complete.

June 4, 2020 – The District of Kitimat is pleased to announce the opening of Riverlodge Recreation Centre at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, June 8th.
Upon entering the facility you will be greeted by a staff member who will provide you information about the facility and reminders of our new COVID-19 signage and procedures.

Radley and Hirsch Creek Parks Opening for Camping

June 4, 2020 – The District of Kitimat is pleased to announce the opening of Radley and Hirsch Creek Parks for camping, effective June 19th at 9:00 a.m.
- Camping currently is on a first come first serve basis, no pre-reservations will be taken.
- Canadian residents will be permitted to use camping sites.
- Fees will only be accepted for up to two weeks at a time.
- Radley Park fee collection will be from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. daily at the park office.

COVID-19 Funding Support for Local Non-Profit Agencies

June 4, 2020 – In the wake of COVID-19 the District of Kitimat has allocated $500,000 to establish a community resilience fund to support local non-profit agencies.
The intent is to provide funding for non-profit agencies to apply for funding programs or projects that build community resiliency for vulnerable citizens throughout the COVID-19 pandemic response and recovery.
