FREE TRANSIT ON SEPTEMBER 30th
September 29, 2021 – In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the District of Kitimat and BC Transit will be offering free public transit service on September 30, 2021.
Free transit will be available on routes 1 Whitesail, 2 Nechako, 3 Kildala, 4 Crosstown, and 12 Kitamaat Village. The free service also extends to handyDART.

HIRSCH CREEK NORTH TRAIL CLOSURES
September 28, 2021- The Hirsch Creek North Trail and access road will be closed to the public from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. for maintenance on the following days:

- September 29
- October 1
- October 4
- October 12-15
- October 18-22

WATER QUALITY ADVISORY CONTINUED
September 24, 2021- The Water Quality Advisory that was issued for the District of Kitimat water system on September 22nd remains in effect until further notice.
Northern Health recommends that children, pregnant women, the elderly and persons with weakened immune systems drink boiled water at this time.
The Water Quality Advisory was issued to all users of the Kitimat Community Water System due to elevated turbidity levels in the source water...

September 24, 2021 – Please expect single lane alternating traffic on Haisla Bridge between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. starting September 27 and ending on September 29

TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS ON HAISLA BLVD.
September 24, 2021- On Monday, September 27, there will be single lane alternating traffic on Haisla Blvd. at the pedestrian overpass between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The pedestrian overpass and adjoining walkway will also be closed.
