Traffic Light Repairs - Haisla and Kuldo Intersection

January 10, 2019 - The traffic lights at the Haisla and Kuldo intersection are currently flashing red. Please treat this intersection as if it is a 4-way stop until the traffic lights are back in working order.
The District of Kitimat is currently scheduling for a significant repair and lights will return to normal operations once the work is complete.
We would like to thank the public for their patience while these repairs are completed.

December 17, 2018 – The District of Kitimat main office and Leisure Services facilities will have reduced hours over the holidays:
Main Office
December 24 - Open until 12 noon
December 25, 26 - Closed
December 31 - Open until 12 noon
Tamitik Jubilee Sports Complex
December 24, 25, 26 - Closed
December 31 - Open with adjusted swim/skate times
Family New Year's Eve event from 5-8 p.m.

Residential Garbage Pick-Up Over the Holidays

December 17, 2018 - Residential garbage pick-up will be done as normally scheduled other than the following two Tuesdays:
Garbage for Tuesday, December 25 will be picked up the day before, on Monday, December 24.
Garbage for Tuesday, January 1 will be picked up the day before, on Monday, December 31.
