Pool Re-Opens After Shutdown

Pool Re-Opening On September 23, 2019

September 20, 2019 – After a month long pool maintenance shutdown, the Sam Lindsay Aquatic Centre re-opens on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. For the pool schedule, see page 36 of the Fall Leisure Guide or go to www.kitimat.ca, Recreation and Leisure, Aquatic Centre.

Thank you for your patience while we did the work that was necessary for the pool facility to serve you in the year ahead.

Annual Pool Shutdown

August 7, 2019 - Sam Lindsay Aquatic Centre will be closed from Monday, August 19 to Sunday, September 22, 2019 for the annual pool maintenance shutdown.  The pool is expected to re-open to the public on Monday, September 23 at 9:00 a.m.

Patrons are reminded that Riverlodge Recreation Centre will be open as normal during this time.  For those with memberships, if you choose not to use it at Riverlodge during the pool shutdown, the membership will be extended.

NEB Decision Re Coastal GasLink

National Energy Board's Decision on Coastal GasLink

July 26, 2019 – The District of Kitimat is pleased with the National Energy Board’s decision regarding the federal review of the Coastal Gaslink project. The District of Kitimat remains supportive of LNG Canada, and TC Energy’s associated Coastal Gaslink pipeline, and all the benefits the project will deliver to our community, region, province and nation.
