December 4, 2020 – Due to activation of new water lines in the Strawberry Meadows subdivision, residents may notice discoloured water in the Kildala area and City Centre on Monday, December 7th. If you experience discoloured water, run your taps until the water is clear.

Haisla Bridge One Lane Traffic Tonight

November 30, 2020 – The District of Kitimat will be working on the Haisla Bridge tonight starting at 7:00 p.m. There will be one lane traffic on the bridge during this time. It is anticipated that the bridge will be back to two lane traffic prior to noon tomorrow (Tuesday, December 1).

District of Kitimat Will Adhere to New Provincial Health Orders

November 19, 2020 – The District of Kitimat will continue adhering to all Provincial Health Orders, including those announced this afternoon by Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry. The New Provincial Health Orders will impact some District operations including:

  • Masks are mandatory in all District facilities
  • Spin Classes are suspended
  • Squash Court usage is suspended
  • No spectators are permitted for any indoor activities
