Proof of Vaccination No Longer Required

Starting today, the B.C. government has removed the requirement to show your proof of vaccination to access certain places and businesses. This means a proof of vaccination is no longer required to access our recreational facilities. A section of the north end of Albatross Avenue, near the intersection to Kingfisher Avenue, will be closed on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to allow for a water line replacement in that area. Please use detours via Gryfalcon Avenue and Cormorant Avenue, or Haisla Boulevard during this time. Thank you very much for your patience and your attentive driving during this work.

Power Outage Affecting Kitimat

Due to a power outage affecting areas of Kitimat, the Kuldo and Haisla Boulevard traffic control lights are currently out of service. Temporary traffic control is being established, and motorists are reminded to treat this area as a four-way stop. Thank you for your patience until the power is restored.
