LIMITED BUILDING DEPARTMENT RESOURCES DECEMBER 22-29, 2021  December 15, 2021 – Please be advised that for the week of  December 22 – 29, 2021, the District of Kitimat’s Building Department will not be issuing any permits. WATER DISRUPTION IN VISTA VILLAGE TRAILER COURT

December 8, 2021 – Due to an emergency water repair, water will be temporarily shut off to residents of Vista Village Trailer Court at approximately 2:30 p.m. today. Water will be turned back on as quickly as possible once repairs have been completed.

Some users may experience discoloured water when water is turned back on. If you are experiencing this, please turn on your taps and run until the water is clear. If water discolouration continues...

BC Transit Reduction in Service

BC TRANSIT REDUCTION IN SERVICE

December 1, 2021 – Due to a recent labour challenge, BC Transit is implementing a short-term reduced service schedule.  Effective December 3, 2021, all routes that are currently on the Friday service schedule will follow the Monday - Thursday schedule. On Sundays, service on the #2 Nechako route will begin at 9:30 a.m. and  service on the #1A Whitesail route will end at 7:21 p.m.

Aquatic Centre Service Disruptions

November 29, 2021 – Due to mechanical issues, the Sam Lindsay Aquatic is closed as of 6:00p.m this evening. Lap swimming, kiddie pool, hot tub, and sauna services will re-open at 9:00 a.m. November 30th. There will be no public access between 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on November 30th and the teach pool, leisure pool, and waterslide will remain closed until further notice.
