Aquatic Centre Service Disruptions

November 29, 2021 – Due to mechanical issues, the Sam Lindsay Aquatic is closed as of 6:00p.m this evening. Lap swimming, kiddie pool, hot tub, and sauna services will re-open at 9:00 a.m. November 30th. There will be no public access between 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on November 30th and the teach pool, leisure pool, and waterslide will remain closed until further notice.

LEISURE POOL REMAINING CLOSED

 November 26, 2021 – The leisure pool at the Sam Lindsay Aquatic Centre will remain closed until November 27, 2021. There will be no public access to the Aquatic Centre between 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. except for those participating in swim club and swimming lessons.

November 25, 2021 – The leisure pool and water slide at the Sam Lindsay Aquatic Centre will remain closed until November 26, 2021.

Heavy Rain Expected

HEAVY RAIN EXPECTED

November 24, 2021 – Heavy rain is expected over the coming days, which may lead to rising water levels at the Kitimat River and Hirsch Creek.

Water levels can change quickly and without warning. The public is urged to stay clear of fast-flowing rivers and unstable riverbanks.
