HIGH RIVER LEVELS – RADLEY AND HIRSCH CREEK PARKS CLOSED

September 21, 2021 – Due to rising river levels and the potential of flooding, Radley Park and Hirsch Creek Park are temporarily closed until further notice. Campers are being directed to stay at the Riverlodge parking lot for the time being.

The water levels can change quickly with little warning. Additionally, high water levels can cause riverbanks to erode creating unstable ground next to the river. Take caution when approaching the Kitimat...

HAISLA BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION

 

September 20, 2021 – Please continue to expect single lane alternating traffic along Haisla Blvd. between Haisla Bridge and the Kuldo/Haisla intersection. Crews will be working from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until September 23, 2021.

PROOF OF VACCINATION AT RECREATION FACILITIES

 

September 13, 2021- An updated Public Health Order (PHO) is in effect as of September 13, 2021. The PHO outlines new requirements around vaccinations that municipal recreation facilities must comply with.

 

As a result, the Tamitik Jubilee Sports Complex and Riverlodge Recreation Centre will require proof of vaccination for some activities if you are 12 or older. If you are 19 or older, you will also need to provide one piece of government-issued...
