AQUATIC CENTRE CLOSURE

JUNE 28 – SEPTEMBER 13, 2021

June 15, 2021 – The Sam Lindsay Aquatic Centre will be closed from June 28 until September 13, 2021. Annual facility maintenance as well as teach pool and decking repairs will be conducted during the closure.

Hirsch Creek Bridge Traffic Interruption


June 10, 2021 – The Hirsch Creek Bridge (between Forest Ave. and Cable Car Subdivision) was damaged by a motor vehicle on June 9. Authorities are presently conducting a structural assessment of the bridge to ensure public safety.
Bridge traffic is restricted to a single lane alternating pattern at this time. Additionally, bridge traffic is restricted to legal highway loads only (no oversized loads).

Bears in Hirsch Creek Park

Bears in Hirsch Creek Park

June 8, 2021 – There have been reports of a grizzly bear and cub in Hirsch Creek Park.

Please use caution in this area and please leave the bears alone. It is an offence to feed or harass wildlife, and violators can face penalties under the Wildlife Act.

If there is an emergency involving a bear or if a bear is aggressive call 911.  To report bears, call the Conservation office at 1-877-952-7277 (RAPP).
