KUTE Cardboard Recycling Full For Today

April 29, 2020 - Due to the high volume of content received, Kitimat Understanding the Environment (KUTE) is not able to take additional cardboartd recycling for the remainder of the day.  Please refrain from dumping cardboard at the KUTE facility.

Cardboard recycling services are expected to resume as scheduled.

April 28, 2020 - Due to repairs, the Haisla Boulevard Bridge will be reduced to single lane traffic for the remainder of the day.  We anticipate that both lanes will be operational by this evening.

April 24, 2020 - Kitimat Understanding the Environment (KUTE) has resumed limited recycling services following a complete closure due to COVID-19.

KUTE is currently only accepting cardboard for the protection of the safety and well being of employees. There will be further plans to expand services when it is safe to do so.

April 24, 2020 - The District of Kitimat has been taking a diligent, proactive approach to ensure our community is moving ahead during these unprecedented times. This includes the launch of Kitimat’s Vulnerable Peoples and Economic Recovery taskforces which are both progressing to serve the community.

Kitimat Understanding the Environment (KUTE) will resume limited recycling services following a complete closure due to COVID-19.

Upon re-opening, KUTE will be only accepting cardboard.
