Our monthly District of Kitimat newsletters are posted on social media and distributed to various locations around town, including the museum, library, Tamitik and Riverlodge Recreation Centre. The newsletter is also sent out to residents quarterly throughout the year. The District of Kitimat wants to know how we can best communicate with you, and how available we are when you want to communicate with us.

The Water Quality Advisory, issued on October 28, 2022, has now been lifted with the agreement of Northern Health.

Call for Submissions – Haisla Bridge Art
The District of Kitimat, in collaboration with the Haisla Nation, is welcoming artists from the Haisla Nation to submit their design(s) for a series of eight (8) lit line art panels for the new Haisla Bridge. The eight (8) selected designs are to be the eight (8) existing and historic Haisla Clans (Eagle, Beaver, Crow, Killer Whale, Wolf, Frog, Raven, Salmon).
