December 30, 2020 – The District of Kitimat and municipal employees represented by Unifor 2300 have ratified a new collective agreement. The four-year deal is from January 1, 2021 and expires December 31, 2024.

Free New Year's Eve Public Transit During Regular Service Hours

December 29, 2020 - The District of Kitimat and BC Transit will be offering free transit on December 31st during regular service hours which end 10:00 p.m. Extended New Year’s Eve service hours will not be available this year.
