June 25, 2019 - We would like to remind the public of road closures to accommodate the Canada Day parade.

On Monday, July 1 the parade will start at Riverlodge Recreation Centre at 12 noon and end at Mountainview Square by 1:00 p.m.  See the map below for the parade route and roads affected.

Please give yourself extra time to make up for any traffic delays.

Parade travels along West Columbia Avenue, left onto Kuldo Boulevard, right onto Haisla Boulevard, right onto Tsimshian Boulevard, right onto...

Haisla Bridge Maintenance

Haisla Bridge Maintenance

June 24, 2019 - Please be advised that from Tuesday, June 25 until Friday, June 28, 2019 District of Kitimat crews will be working on Haisla Bridge in Service Centre.  The bridge work will result in one lane traffic from the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

June 19, 2019 – Take notice that the District of Kitimat will consider the 2018 Annual Report at the Public Meeting of Council on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers.

Any person wishing to provide comment on the 2018 Annual Report may do so by attending the Council Meeting on July 2, 2019.

This report is open for public inspection at the District of Kitimat office during regular business hours.

Electrical Maintenance - Eurocan Way

June 18, 2019 – Please be advised that tomorrow, June 19, the District of Kitimat will be doing maintenance on the street lights at the entrance of the Kitimat LNG site (old Eurocan Entrance). Work is expected to start at 8am and should be completed by noon, with occasional one-way traffic in effect.

The main Haisla Blvd. road will not be affected. Thank you for your patience while this is completed.
