Water Discolouration

Water Discolouration April 1 2022 - Residents in the District of Kitimat may notice water in their homes with higher turbidity – or discolouration. This is the result of some non-emergency related use of fire hydrants that took place on Thursday which has caused water disturbance in our lines. District crews will be working through the weekend to bring the water quality back to normal. If you have any question or concerns related to this matter please contact the District at 250-632-8900.

Possibility of slight water discolouration in Nechako area Due to some non-emergency related use of fire hydrants in the Nechako neighbourhood on March 31, residents in that neighbourhood may notice some water turbidity - or slightly discoloured water. If you notice this issue simply run your faucet until your water returns to normal.
