FRAUDULENT EMAILS IN KITIMAT
June 19, 2020 – The District of Kitimat is aware of fraudulent emails being spammed around the community. There have been incidents of emails attempting to impersonate District representatives. These have been reported to the proper authorities.
Please be diligent in ensuring emails are from credible sources. There are many known incidents of fraudsters trying to take advantage of cyber vulnerabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

KUTE Recycling Full For Today

June 17, 2020 – Due to the high volume of content received today, Kitimat Understanding the Environment (KUTE) will not be accepting additional cardboard or paper recycling today.
Please refrain from dumping recyclables at the KUTE facility.

KITIMAT, BC – Northern Development Initiative Trust’s Business Façade Improvement Program has provided Kitimat with $20,000 grant funding for local businesses to make improvements to their buildings this year. This grant will enhance economic development in our community by encouraging private sector investment in businesses façade improvements. Businesses can receive up to 50% reimbursement of eligible costs to a maximum of $5,000.
