Search and Rescue - Marine
This group of highly skilled volunteers help those in distress in the Kitimat harbour and Douglas Channel. They work together with the Canadian Coast Guard and local emergency service providers in response to emergencies in the community. Their vessel, the “Snowflake Responder III”, is ready for rescue 24/7.

Between January 1-9, twenty-two RCMSAR Stations conducted search and rescue missions, training exercises, classroom training and other activities.

In 2022 your volunteers from the following communities devoted over 459 hours in pursuit of saving lives: West Vancouver, Prince Rupert, Crescent Beach, Oak Bay, Delta, North Vancouver, Sooke, Sidney, Nanaimo, Brentwood Bay, Cowichan Bay, Salt Spring Island, Comox, Richmond, Pender Island, Halfmoon Bay, Gibsons, Port Alberni, Ladysmith, Pender Harbour, Deep Bay and Kitimat.
