As a local government the District of Kitimat complies with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA). 

You can request access to records within the custody and control of the District of Kitimat. Some records require a request to be made under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. The District has produced a list of typical records produced by a local government which identifies instances were requests may be made to a department for routinely available records and where a request must be made under FOIPPA. 

Contact the relevant department or call our main office at 250-632-8900 for assistance.

To request information that is not publicly available, please submit a Freedom of Information Request form.
