Winter is upon us!
Until March 31, street parking cannot interfere with our snow clearing operations. Also specifically, street parking is not permitted between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m..
Vehicles parked on the street in the way of snow clearing are at risk of being towed.
Please let our snow operators work and ensure you are parked elsewhere.
From November 1, on-property restrictions also went into effect to support snow clearing.
This means your trailers, RVs and boats may need to find a new place to be. Here’s the details:
- Boats, RVs and trailers must be 4.5 metres back from your property line (this is different from the distance to the curb), on your driveway, or in your garage. You also must keep 1.8 metres clear between any properties.
- During these winter months you can have 1 RV, and two boats or trailers on your residential lot.
- Improperly stored vehicles are at risk of a $100 per day fine.
These bylaws are in effect up to March 31 of each year.
And finally, do not take snow from your property and put it on roadways, ditches, culverts, or neighboring properties as this creates hazards including the possibility of flooding.
