June 4, 2020 – In the wake of COVID-19 the District of Kitimat has allocated $500,000 to establish a community resilience fund to support local non-profit agencies.

The intent is to provide funding for non-profit agencies to apply for funding programs or projects that build community resiliency for vulnerable citizens throughout the COVID-19 pandemic response and recovery. 

The primary function is providing support to establish programs that may operate under the short-term funding of this program, and that remove barriers, and/or provide supplemental supports to ensure access to services and opportunities.
