DISTRICT OF KITIMAT INVITATION TO TENDER -

 MINETTE BAY WEST PARK – PHASE 1

CONTRACT No. 408

 

 

Sealed tenders in separate envelopes marked "Tender for Minette Bay West Park – Phase 1 - Contract No. 408” will be received at the District of Kitimat offices, located at  270 City Centre, KITIMAT, BC V8C 2H7, no later than 2:30 p.m. local time on 21 April 2022 and will be opened in public at that time.

 

Minette Bay West Park– Phase 1

  • Clearing and grubbing approximately 2,284 m2 of sod and vegetation
  • Excavate approximately 684 m3 of material for path and parking pad sub-grade prep
  • Construction of approximately 1,167 m3 of new road, path, and parking pad gravels
  • Installation of approximately 493 m2 of sub-base reinforcement geotextile
  • Construction of approximately 519 m2 of new gravel trails
  • Installation of park furniture and structures including fire rings, picnic tables, benches, garbage bins, portable washroom, and a shelter
  • Install items including riprap, rock treads, boulders and lock-blocks, logs, signs, bollards, and a swing gate
  • Planting and landscaping of coniferous and deciduous trees, shrubs, meadows, and hydroseeded grass
  • Landscape maintenance for a period of one year from when final acceptance confirmed by Owner

 

Optional Site Visit: 

There is an optional site visit at Minette Bay West Park, located west of Minette Bay Lodge on District Lot 471, on April 6, 2022 at 1:30pm.

 

Tender documents may be obtained from the District of Kitimat on or after March 28, 2022 upon payment of $50 per copy which is non-refundable. Inquiries should be directed to Holly Thomopoulos, Engineering Clerk, email engineering@kitimat.ca at the District of Kitimat, Engineering Department. 

 

Tenders must be accompanied by a Certified Cheque or Bid Bond valid for a period of 60 days in the amount of 10% of the tendered price as bid security. The District of Kitimat reserves the right to reject all tenders or to award the Contract to other than the lowest tender received if it perceives that to be in its best interests.
