June 17 is going to be a thrill ride from sunrise to sundown, and there will be something for everyone.

The 13th annual Kitimat Memorial Hillclimb starts the day off. Later in the morning we have a ceremony at the Haisla Bridge to celebrate its completion ahead of opening it up to traffic in the near future, and we’ll wrap up the day with an outdoor concert at Lower City Centre. (Not to mention the Kitimat Night Bazaar Market which runs 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. nearby in Lion’s Park)

For so many different teams working on all these events, June 17 became the perfect day for all these happenings. Whether you get to one or all of them, we know you’ll have a great time.

We're also happy to add that public transit will be free in Kitimat on June 17. It's the perfect way to get around the community to enjoy everything being offered.
