Kitimat Campground Facilities Closed due to COVID-19

April 16, 2020 – Hirsch Creek Park and Radley Park will not be open for camping until at least May 31, 2020.

This action aligns with federal and provincial directives on camping and encourages people to stay home to reduce COVID-19 transmission risk.

The closure of these parks is necessary to ensure the continued health and safety of the public and District of Kitimat personnel.

The District of Kitimat will continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic closely and is following the recommendations set out by the Provincial Health Officer and the Minister of Health for decisions related to closure and reopening of parks and facilities.
