The District of Kitimat is hosting a grand opening celebration for the new Haisla Bridge. 

Join us on June 17 for this special occasion. 

Free shuttles will take you from the Riverlodge Recreation Centre parking lot to the bridge site, starting at 10:30 a.m.. Public parking is not available at the bridge itself. 

Our event will begin at 11:00 a.m. with blessings, speeches, dancing and drumming, followed by a ribbon cutting. 

After, visitors are welcome to walk along the bridge and take photos. 

Our shuttle service will continually run to return you to the Riverlodge until 3:30 p.m. 

We're also please to say that Kitimat's public transit will run free of charge for the entire day.
