Notes from Council, March 24, 2025:

  • Council formally gave support for use of the Riverlodge Ball Field for a landing site for the helicopter rides provided on July 1, and a letter of support will be provided to Canadian Helicopters.
    •  Helicopter rides are just one of the planned activities for our July 1 celebrations in Kitimat. The Festivals Kitimat team organizes a number of activities on and around Canada Day. Learn more at www.festivalskitimat.ca.
  • The Status Report of Regular Council Assignments were reviewed and updated. This is a document tracking Council's directions for staff through their various motions. Council uses these opportunities to review the list and confirm which items are complete and can be removed from future tracking, as well note the status and progress of incomplete items.
