Residents will notice noise and parking and traffic changes around Riverlodge Recreation Centre relating to the LNG Canada-hosted community celebration of Saturday, August 16.
The following traffic changes will be in effect:
- Dyke Road (at Riverlodge) will be closed to traffic.
- Saturday, August 16, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Local traffic and emergency vehicles will continue to be allowed. The event organizers are responsible to provide necessary access.
- Peace Street will be closed to traffic, including local traffic and other vehicles. (e.g. ATVs)
- Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17. Access will only be provided for emergency vehicles. The event organizers are responsible to provide necessary access.
- Columbia Avenue, just west of Dease Street, will be closed to all non-local traffic and other vehicles. (e.g. ATVs)
- Saturday August 16, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Local traffic and emergency vehicles will continue to be allowed. The event organizers are responsible to provide necessary access.
- Dease Street
- Permission has been provided to restrict street parking on Saturday, August 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Event organizers are responsible to install no parking signs.
- Riverlodge's parking lot will not be available to the public from Wednesday August 13 until Sunday August 17 at 6:00 p.m.
Nearby residents will hear noise from the event’s stage between 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, again the following day from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and the day of the event (August 16) between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m..
