Aquatic Centre

Kitimat's community swimming and leisure pool offers public swimming, aquafit classes and private and semi-private lessons.

Annual shutdown for pool maintenance:

The pool will be closed July 30 - September 9, 2018.

It is scheduled to be re-opened on Monday, September 10, 2018.

Aquafit

Aquafit classes for all skill levels are available at the pool. Punch passes are welcome if space is available.

Buy an Aquafit punch pass to save on fees.

Pass prices:

  • $35 for 5 sessions
  • $70 for 10 sessions

Punch passes expire at the end of the season and are non-transferable and non-refundable after purchase.

Note: Schedules are subject to change.

 Option 1

$100.00 for 14 children ($4.50 per additional child).

  • Birthday party leader
  • One hour of swimming/skating during a public session
  • One hour in the meeting room
  • Two jugs of juice
  • Balloons
  • Party hats or popcorn (your choice)
 Option 2
Rent the meeting room for $19.65 per hour and pay drop-in admission to attend the public swim or skate.
 Option 3
Rent the pool or arena privately. Please note that ice in the arenas is only available from October to March.

Locker Rental

Lock rental: $5.00 with $4.00 refunded when the lock is returned.

Adult Swim Lessons

Junior Lifeguard Club

Candidates for the Junior Lifeguard Club are:

  • 8 to 12 years old
  • Able to swim 25 metres and tread water for 1 minute
  • Finished or need a break from regular swim lessons
  • Transitioning from the Kitimat Marlin Swim Club

Red Cross Swim Lessons

Remember to bring your child's progress card to the start of every new class for evaluation tracking.

If the class you want to register for is full, ask to be placed on a wait list.
